Hydrodata is a private, independent organization, present on the market for over 40 years with an established brand, engaged in consulting, engineering, research and monitoring, primarily in the field of water resources and services, including environmental, sociological, economic and institutional issues.

Over the years the company has acquired a position of recognized leadership in the Italian and international operating context, as much for the professionalism, interdisciplinarity, propensity for innovation and reliability of its group of experts, as for the flexibility and productive capacity of the organization.

From the experience of a group of professors and young engineers of the Polytechnic of Turin, in December 1976 “H.C. Hydrodataconsult” was born, HYDRODATA since 1990. The company team immediately develops diversified and multidisciplinary skills: from engineering services, to studies and research in the hydrological-hydraulic-environmental field, to technical-economic and organizational consultancy.
With the preparation of the Hydrogeological Plan for the Toce river basin, it starts the collaboration with the Piedmont Region in the field of water resources planning and management.
The Models and Measurements Laboratory is born, which operates on the whole sector of hydrological, hydrogeological and water quality monitoring.
Hydrodata becomes a consultant for Autostrade per l’Italia in the field of hydraulic works design and geotechnical-structural interventions necessary to protect the infrastructures, on a national scale.
Hydrodata begins its cooperation with ENEL SpA, with studies and hydraulic investigations for the construction of the Trino V. nuclear power plant (VC).
H.C. Hydrodataconsult becomes Hydrodata SpA.
HYDRODATA becomes a stable partner of DHI (Danish Hydraulic Institute), a world leader in applied research and implementation of numerical codes for hydro-computer simulation.
Collaboration begins with the Po River Basin Authority and with the Liri-Garigliano and Volturno Rivers Basin Authority to support planning on hydraulic and hydrogeological risk.
With the preparation of the Preliminary Study for the development and implementation of the Regional Plan of Hydroelectric Resources of the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta, it starts the cooperation with the Compagnia Valdostana Acque – C.V.A. S.p.A.
HYDRODATA becomes a member of the Associazione Idrotecnica Italiana
HYDRODATA intensifies its activities in the hydroelectric sector, working for the main national players and for self-producers: plant revamping, assistance with authorization paths, due diligence and support for Merge & Acquisition activities.
HYDRODATA becomes a member of OICE-Confindustria.
Hydrodata inizia la collaborazione con Tirreno Power S.p.A. nella gestione degli invasi di competenza
SINA SpA assigns HYDRODATA for studies and final design of the hydraulic works relating to road and rail access to the future bridge over the Messina Strait.
Hydrodata starts the collaboration with Enel Green Power S.p.A. both in the construction of new plants and revamping of hydroelectric power plants in Italy and abroad, and in the management / testing of the DMV release at hydroelectric plant in Piedmont.
Hydrodata starts the cooperation with A2A S.p.A. on hydraulic civil engineering design services for hydroelectric plants in Italy.
HYDRODATA participates in a project funded by the World Bank for the management of hydraulic risk at basin scale in Vietnam.

HYDRODATA becomes a member di Hydroaid, Scuola Internazionale dell’Acqua per lo Sviluppo.

MODELS AND MEASUREMENTS LABORATORY

The Models and Measurements Laboratory operates in the entire sector of hydrological, hydrogeological and water quality monitoring. The laboratory’s activities include: measurements in the hydrometric field, sampling and laboratory tests on water and soil samples, design and maintenance of fixed measurement stations, structural tests, ecosystem and geological surveys, realization of physical models.

The permanent staff of the Hydrodata Models and Measurements Laboratory consists of n. 9 specialists, all employees of the company, including engineers, geologists, surveyors, agricultural and industrial experts.
