Hydraulics and modelling

Hydrodata carries out analysis, consultancy, study and design activities in the field of hydrology and hydraulics, with the support of advanced numerical modelling representing hydrodynamics, geomorphological evolution of rivers and processes both physical-chemical (advection-dispersion, degradation of pollutants) and ecological (nutrient cycle, trophic processes, eutrophication).

We design and prepare small and large hydraulic physical models.

We develop hydraulic compatibility and hydraulic risk planning studies, hydrological and hydraulic analyses to support the design and management of road works, water circuits, systems and infrastructures, optimisation, districtualization and district metering of water distribution networks, flood retaining basins and water resource management, interventions aimed to hydraulic invariance.

Hydrogeology and geology applied to engineering

Hydrodata carries out analysis, research and geological study activities in the field of aquifer engineering, underground works, geothermal exchange systems, soil and groundwater remediation, hydrogeological defence and monitoring, land protection, also with planning studies on a territorial scale.

We prepare characterisation plans, geognostic surveys and slope monitoring with innovative technologies and methods. We develop analyses to support the design in saturated and unsaturated soil with the help of numerical modelling of flow and transport, as well as heat transfer and dispersion of pollutants.

Hydroecology and environment

Hydrodata develops (and carries out with its Laboratory Division): Environmental Monitoring Plans (surface and groundwater matrices, soil and subsoil) and hydrometric and hydrogeological monitoring, set up for on-site survey campaigns or through the design and construction of networks with fixed measurement stations designed for real-time data transmission, possibly coupled with a digital twin of the decision support system (DSS); optimization of Ecological Flows releases through field monitoring; supporting analyses for concession applications and environmental impact assessments for new works; Sediment Management Plans, concerning single reservoirs or on a territorial scale; monitoring of remediation plants.
